SPERO is a micro-lot specialty coffee roaster where every bean tells a story. Our name carries dual meaning—born from our founder's family initials and the Latin word for "hope." We believe exceptional coffee does more than delight your palate; it creates connection and kindles possibility.
Through small-batch roasting and mindful sourcing, we honor each bean's unique character while honoring the hands that cultivated it. For us, coffee is ritual: the first mindful sip that centers your day, the shared cup that sparks conversation, and the choice to make every morning meaningful.
Where do you source your coffee?
We partner with trusted importers who work directly with farmers, prioritizing quality, sustainability, and fair practices.
How is your coffee roasted?
We roast in the Omni style—a versatile approach that lands in the light-medium to medium range. This means you get the best of both worlds:
- Balanced acidity and body for pour-over/filter brewing
- Enough sweetness and richness for espresso
No need to choose "espresso" or "filter" roasts—our beans are crafted to shine across all brew methods.
What grind options do you offer?
By default, all our coffee is shipped as whole bean—the best way to preserve freshness and flavor.
Need it ground? No problem! Just leave us a note at checkout with:
- Your brewing method (e.g., espresso, pour-over, French press, etc.)
- Or your preferred grind size (e.g., fine, medium-coarse, etc.)
We’ll customize the grind to perfectly suit your equipment.
How fresh is your coffee?
Every bag you receive is freshly roasted to order, typically within 7 days of shipping. We never stock pre-roasted coffee—so you always get peak flavor and aroma.
For the best experience, enjoy your beans within 3–4 weeks of roast date, and store them in an airtight container away from heat and light.
Do you offer subscriptions?

Where do you ship?
We currently offer free shipping within Canada on all orders over $60. For orders below this amount, standard shipping rates apply.
At this time, we do not ship internationally.
Can I return or exchange my coffee?
Because coffee is perishable, we don’t accept returns—but if there’s an issue with your order, let us know and we’ll make it right.
