Region: Brazil, Cerrado Minerio

Nestled in the heart of Brazil, the Cerrado region spans Minas Gerais and Goiás, combining altitudes of 800–1,300 metres with a tropical savanna climate of distinct wet and dry seasons. These ideal conditions yield beans celebrated for their sweetness, balanced acidity, and complex aromas. It's no surprise—Brazil has been the world's largest coffee producer for over 150 years, supplying nearly a third of the globe's coffee. And with a deep commitment to innovation and sustainability, Cerrado Mineiro stands proudly as the world's first Designation of Origin for coffee.

Producer: Danilo Barbosa

The Barbosa Family farms 983 hectares of coffee in Brazil's most celebrated region, balanced by over 1,000 hectares of certified natural reserves. For decades, they've combined tradition with cutting-edge technology—but in 2018, led by Danilo and fermentation expert Deyvid Leandro, they shifted entirely to specialty coffee.

The result was immediate: from their very first harvest, they've earned top competition placements, including the 1st place Cup of Excellence in 2024 and 2021—the highest honour in coffee.
